Amazing desert trip to the Whales Valley
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to go to the Sahara desert. In a recent trip to Egypt, our amazing tour guide, Samir, suggested that we go to the Whales Valley. I cannot even begin to tell you how breathtaking it was! During our trip we visited a petrified forest, had lunch sitting in the shade of an ancient temple, saw the ancient Greek city of Demi El Sebaa, swam in the Magic Lake, and had lunch at Tunis village. Our guide was amazing. His depth of Egyptian history made every aspect of my vacation come to life all the more. He interwove the historical past with the present day and made it magical. He is funny, caring, informative, and passionate. The only thing I would change about my trip to Egypt is that I would have Samir pick me up FROM THE AIRPORT and start the trip right away with him.
